By placing an order you enter into a contract with Recharged Computing. These terms apply to that
contract together with our Shipping Policy, Returns and Refunds Policy, and
12-Month Limited Warranty, all of which form part of it.
The listing description and the Bench Report for your specific unit also form part of this
contract, and are express representations by us about that particular unit.
SECTION 2. What we sell, stated plainly
Every item we sell is used, refurbished, or otherwise pre-owned unless a listing explicitly says an item is new. Nothing here is sold as new merchandise.
Every item is bench-tested before listing, and every listing carries a Bench Report
showing the test date, the technician, the serial number of that specific unit, the test
results, and any disclosures. The photographs on a listing are of the actual unit you will
receive never a stock image and never a representative photo.
A complete build is a system we listed already configured. A custom build is
one we assembled to a specification you supplied. Both are fully covered by our warranty and by the faulty and not as described return rights; custom builds are excluded from the 14 day change of mind window because they were assembled for you specifically.
We are not an authorized dealer, agent, or representative of any manufacturer. Manufacturer names, model numbers, and trademarks appear on this site solely to identify the hardware being sold. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
SECTION 3. Orders and acceptance
Listing an item is an invitation to buy, not a binding offer. Your order is an offer to
purchase, and a contract forms when your payment clears. The shipping confirmation email is notice that your order is on its way it is not the moment of acceptance, and it does not restart the 14-day shipping window, which runs from the day you place your order.
We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch if:
- The item is no longer available, or failed a re-test before shipping;
- The listing contained a pricing or description error (see section 4);
- We can't verify the billing or shipping details, or the order is flagged as fraudulent;
- The order appears to be for commercial resale in volume, which we handle separately.
If we cancel, you are refunded in full, promptly, within the timeframes in the
Shipping Policy. We will not silently hold an order.
Because inventory here is largely single-unit one specific card with one specific serial
number an item can sell while it is in your cart. We don't oversell deliberately, and when it happens we refund immediately rather than substituting something else without asking.
SECTION 4. Prices and errors
Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax, which is calculated at checkout where
applicable. Prices can change at any time; the price that applies is the one shown when you place your order.
Despite careful checking, listings occasionally contain errors in price or specification. If
an error is obvious and material a $600 GPU listed at $6 we are not obliged to sell at
that price. We will contact you, explain what happened, and give you the choice of proceeding at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund. We will not quietly charge you the higher amount.
SECTION 5. How we won't sell to you
We hold ourselves to these commitments, and you can hold us to them:
No countdown timers, fake scarcity, or invented deadlines. Stock counts shown on this site are real. When we say two are left, two are left.
No stock photography on product listings. The photographs are of the unit you will receive.
No hidden condition information. Cosmetic flaws, repairs, replaced components, mining history, and missing accessories are disclosed in the listing, above the fold.
No suppressed reviews. We do not delete critical reviews or filter by rating.
If we run a genuine time-limited promotion, the end date is real and stated once.
SECTION 6. Payment
Payment is processed by Shopify Payments and other third-party processors. We do not receive or store your full card number. Payment must clear before an order is accepted.
You confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide, and that the billing information is accurate.
SECTION 7. Shipping, returns, and warranty
Governed by the separate documents, which form part of these terms:
Shipping Policy — 14-day shipping window, delay notices, and transit problems including the 5-day window to report damage in transit
Returns and Refunds Policy — 30-day change-of-mind returns, 30-day faulty and not-as-described returns, no restocking fee
12-Month Limited Warranty — 12 months on every item at every grade
Where these terms and one of those documents disagree, the more specific document governs for its subject matter.
SECTION 8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Read this alongside section 9 of the Limited Warranty, which contains the controlling warranty language.
Compatibility is your responsibility. We describe each item accurately, but we cannot
verify that a part will work in your specific configuration. Check socket, chipset, form
factor, clearance, and power requirements before ordering. If you're unsure, email us before you buy we'll tell you honestly, including when the answer is "that won't work."
Installation is your responsibility. Computer components can be damaged by static
discharge, incorrect installation, and incorrect mounting pressure. Damage caused during installation is not covered.
Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recharged Computing's total liability arising from any item or order is limited to the purchase price of that item plus any shipping you paid on it. We are not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including lost data, lost profits, downtime, or damage to other equipment.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing here limits your rights under applicable state or federal consumer protection law, and where that law gives you more than these terms do, that law applies.
SECTION 9. Privacy and data
Our full Privacy Policy is published separately. In summary: we collect what we need to fulfill your order and support you afterwards name, contact details, shipping address, order history and we do not sell your personal information.
In addition to the standard Shopify-generated privacy policy, this store must disclose:
That storage devices received from customers are securely erased to NIST 800-88 standards, and are never imaged, browsed, or recovered
Serial numbers of purchased items are retained against warranty claims and transfers
Bench Report records, including photographs of the unit you received, are retained for the warranty period and afterwards as a service record
Which analytics and marketing tools are in use, and how to opt out
Your rights of access, correction, and deletion, and the address to exercise them
The retention period for order records, which is generally set by tax record-keeping requirements rather than by us
SECTION 10. Intellectual property
The Recharged Computing name, logo, word-mark, Bench Report format, condition grading system, site copy, and product photography are the property of Recharged Computing.
You may not reproduce our product photography or Bench Reports for commercial purposes without permission. Reposting a Bench Report for a unit you own in a resale listing, for example — is expressly permitted and encouraged.
SECTION 11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.
Talk to us first. Most problems are a support email away from being solved, and we would much rather fix something than argue about it. Email service@rechargedcomputing.com before starting any formal proceeding.
This section does not prevent you from bringing a claim in small claims court, or from filing a complaint with a consumer protection agency.
SECTION 12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force for your order is the version published when you placed it. Material changes will be noted with a revision date at the top of this page.
13. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in force. These terms, together with the Shipping Policy, Returns and Refunds Policy, Limited Warranty, Privacy Policy, the listing description, and the Bench Report for your unit, constitute the entire agreement between you and Recharged Computing regarding your purchase.
